Malley Drive Battle of the Booksl Battle of the Books is open to all 4th and 5th graders at Malley Drive Elementary; however, 4th graders will only be allowed to compete in the Malley Drive Battle of the Books, and the winning 5th grade team will go on to compete at the Adams12 District Battle of the Books.l All participants will select from 10 books that cover a wide variety of literary genres and were selected by Adams12 Teacher Librarians. In order to compete in the Battle of the Books, students must read at least 5 of the books and write 10 quality questions for each book they read based on the content of story. Students become "experts" on the 5 books they read and participate in the competition on a team of 4-6 students, who are "experts" on their 5 books.
